Stitching Our Struggles 1.2

Publisher Description

Discover the story of Carmen Gloria Quintana Arancibia and her journey to Canada as told through arpilleras (stitched fabric works of art). With the Stitching Our Struggles: Resistance Through Craft app and the image of an arpillera*, you can explore how art can be used to speak out against human rights abuses. Using augmented reality, click on hotspots to explore Carmen s story as depicted in the details of the arpilleras. Swipe left or right to reveal all three arpilleras explaining Carmen s journey from Chile to Canada. *This experience is designed to be used in conjunction with the image of an arpillera available for download from the Canadian Museum for Human Rights website. The image is also printed on a card available in gallery at the Museum.

Requires iOS 7.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
